askflag

Privacy policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

This policy explains what askflag collects, why, who sees it and what you can do about it. It applies wherever you live. askflag is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Contact: support@askflag.com.

1. What we collect

2. Why we use it

3. Who sees what

4. Service providers

They may only use the data to provide their service to us, except Stripe and the messaging apps, which also act under their own privacy notices.

5. Automated checks

Posts, pictures and offers are checked automatically for banned items and contact details, and may be blocked. You can ask for a person to review any automated decision by writing to us.

6. Where data is stored

Data is stored and processed on Cloudflare's global network and by our providers, so it may be handled outside your country. Where the law requires it, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

EU, EEA and UK: the legal bases are listed in section 2; you have the rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. California: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, we use sensitive information only to provide the service, and you will not be treated differently for using your rights. Brazil (LGPD), India (DPDP Act), UAE and Saudi Arabia (PDPL), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia and everywhere else: the same rights, through the same tools and the same contact.

9. Children

askflag is for people aged 18 or older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.

10. Security

Everything travels over HTTPS; sign-in tokens and verification codes are stored only as hashes; access to data is limited to what running the service needs.

11. Changes

We will tell you in the app before an important change to this policy takes effect.
